Playa del Rock, released on December 19, 1990, via Noise Records, is a fascinating, often forgotten milestone in the history of the Sunset Strip glam metal scene. The third studio album by the American hard rock band London—sometimes released under the moniker D'Priest—serves as a polished, sonic time capsule that captured the tail end of the 1980s hair metal boom right before the grunge explosion altered the musical landscape entirely.
