L'Rain’s self-titled debut album, released in 2017, is a critically acclaimed experimental project by Brooklyn multi-instrumentalist Taja Cheek. Concocted as a beautiful, untidy conduit for grieving following the passing of her mother, Lorraine, the record serves as a dense exploration of ambient sound, free jazz, and psychedelic pop.
