Save Yourself by The Make-Up is widely considered the band's dense, ultra-psychedelic garage-punk classic. Released on 26 October 1999 through K Records and produced by Fugazi's Brendan Canty, this fourth studio album marked a massive sonic shift. The Washington, D.C. outfit transitioned from their raw, stripped-down "Gospel Yeh-Yeh" punk roots into a smoky, experimental, and heavily layered analogue groove.
