Manfred Mann's Earth Band is a UK Prog rock band formed 1971 in London, England. The original lineup was Manfred Mann, Mick Rogers, Chris Slade and Colin Pattenden, who formed after the breakup of Manfred Mann Chapter Three band. Earth Band had hits with covers of Bruce Springsteen's "For You", "Blinded by the Light" and "Spirit in the Night". Outstanding albums include Solar Fire, Nightingales & Bombers, The Roaring Silence and Watch.
