Monte Hills | Drum Machine / All the Other MCs (Remixed) | Album

Monte Hills' Drum Machine / All the Other MCs (Remastered & Remixed), released in 2022 on Maulcat Records, serves as a definitive collection of the artist's early experiments in French House and Big Beat. The album compiles two of Hills' earlier EPs-Drum Machine (2020) and All The Other MCs (2021)-elevating the original lo-fi aesthetic with high-fidelity remasters and a diverse suite of remixes. The record leans heavily into a "chronically online" electronic sound, characterized by hard-hitting bass and rave-influenced stabs.
