Following their 1976 debut Hinotama Boy (released under "Keiichi Suzuki and Moon Riders"), the pioneering Japanese avant-pop outfit dropped their first proper self-titled album as a collective unit in 1977. The band actively sheds the earthy, country-folk textures of their previous incarnation (Hachimitsu Pie) in favour of a highly experimental, omnivorous art-pop style.
