Otis Rush | Right Place, Wrong Time | Album
Otis Rush's Right Place, Wrong Time is widely regarded as a masterpiece of modern electric blues, capturing the Chicago blues legend singing and playing at the absolute peak of his creative powers. Though recorded in San Francisco in 1971, the album famously languished in corporate limbo after Capitol Records unceremoniously shelved it. Thanks to the persistence of Rush and independent blues advocates, the tapes were finally rescued and released five years later in 1976 on the independent Bullfrog label. It went on to become his only post-1950s recording inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
