Pikelet's second album, Stem (2010), is a brilliantly expansive, multi-layered work of psych-pop experimentation that firmly established Evelyn Ida Morris as one of Melbourne’s most innovative musical forces. Moving away from the isolated, loop-pedal-driven bedroom folk of their 2007 debut, Morris expanded the project into a collaborative four-piece band alongside Shags Chamberlain, Tarquin Manek, and Matthew Cox. The resulting record earned critical acclaim and a well-deserved shortlist nomination for the prestigious Australian Music Prize (AMP).
