Private Function’s debut full-length album, St. Anger, is a chaotic, high-energy masterpiece of modern Australian pub-punk. Released on 16 August 2019, the album established the Melbourne-based outfit as premier musical pranksters, explicitly trolling the heavy metal community by lifting its name and cover art style directly from Metallica’s highly divisive 2003 record. However, beneath the brilliant marketing and tongue-in-cheek humour lies an explosive collection of fast, aggressive, and incredibly catchy punk rock.
