Released in 1974, Il tempo della gioia by Quella Vecchia Locanda stands as one of the definitive classics of Rock Progressivo Italiano (RPI). The album swaps raw symphonic aggression for a deeply mature, pastoral, and chamber-like sophistication
Italian progressive rock or Rock Progressivo Italiano (RPI), in the late 1960s and 1970s produced some of the best albums of the era, blending UK-American prog and psych influences with Italian classical traditions.
