Hitting The Wall is the 1983 debut album by the Australian pub rock and new wave band, Runners. Released during the golden era of Aussie pub rock, the album stands as a hidden gem of tight musicianship, punchy hooks, and the unmistakable grit of the 1980s local music scene. Formed after the dissolution of the popular group Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons, Runners featured front-man Mark Edwards, alongside Paul McNaughton (bass), Grant Hamston (drums), and Trevor Reading (guitar).
