Shemekia Copeland is an American Blues artist born 1979 in Harlem NYC. She is the daughter of Texas Blues guitarist and singer Johnny Copeland. She began singing at an early age and her first public performance was at the Cotton club at age 10. Outstanding albums include Wicked, Talking to Strangers and Never Going Back.
