Swans | Newly Sentient Being (Live) | Album

Swans’ Newly Sentient Being (October 2, 2026 via Young God Records) is a towering, 160-minute live masterpiece that marks the end of the band's 15-year "big sound" era. Recorded during their tour stop at Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin on November 28, 2025, this 5-track odyssey pushes Michael Gira's vision of conducted improvisation, drone, and apocalyptic post-rock to its absolute limit. The general critical and fan consensus places it as an instant classic, rivaling their legendary live document Swans Are Dead.
