Synanthesia was a short-lived British progressive, psychedelic, and acid-folk trio formed in London in 1968. They are best known for their rare, self-titled debut and only album, Synanthesia, which was released in November 1969 on RCA Victor (SF 8058). Despite backing from prominent DJ John Peel and playing underground venues alongside bands like Pink Floyd and King Crimson, the album flopped due to a lack of commercial promotion, leading to the band's immediate split. Decades later, the record became a highly sought-after cult classic among acid-folk collectors.
