Live at Wangaratta: The Music of Roger Frampton by the Australian jazz flagship Ten Part Invention is a deeply moving, bittersweet work that documents one of the most poignant moments in Australian jazz history. Recorded on 31 October 1999 at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, the album serves as both a high-octane concert and a final, heart-wrenching tribute to the group's co-founder and pianist, Roger Frampton. Frampton, who composed all five tracks on the record, was dying of an inoperable brain tumour at the time and passed away just three months later at age 51.
