The Band "Music From Big Pink"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Capitol, Europe, 2018, 0602567480600, 2xLP 45 RPM, 180g Vinyl, Remastered, Remixed, Gatefold Sleeve

Released on July 1, 1968, by Capitol Records, Music from Big Pink is the debut studio album by The Band. Emerging at the height of over-the-top psychedelic rock, the album sharply broke away from the prevailing trends of its era. Instead of relying on acid-rock guitar heroics or studio gimmicks, these seasoned musicians—who had famously backed Bob Dylan as the Hawks on his tumultuous 1966 world tour—delivered a rustic, loose, and foundational masterwork that essentially birthed the modern Americana and roots-rock genres.
