Released on 13 January 1969, Yellow Submarine stands as the tenth studio album by The Beatles, serving as the soundtrack to their animated psychedelic film. Widely regarded as the only true "minor" entry in the band's core discography, the record was treated largely as a contractual obligation rather than a major creative statement.
