The Beautiful South "0898 Beautiful South"
LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Go! Discs, Europe, 2018, 5743902, 0602557439021, Reissue
Released on 30 March 1992, 0898 Beautiful South is the third studio album by English alt-pop outfit The Beautiful South. Named after the premium-rate sex hotline telephone prefix used in the UK at the time, the album serves as a masterclass in the band’s signature lyrical dissonance—packaging deeply cynical, dark, and misanthropic themes inside lush, exceptionally sweet pop melodies.
