The Chills | Kaleidoscope World (Comp.) | Album

The Chills' Kaleidoscope World is a gem of indie pop, serving as the ultimate introduction to the "Dunedin Sound". Originally released in 1986 by Flying Nun Records, this compilation gathers the early singles, EPs, and compilation tracks of a band that managed to find a sweet spot between whimsical psych-pop and profound, persistent melancholy. Driven by the brilliant songwriting of the late Martin Phillipps, the album captures a band constantly shifting its lineup but never losing its musical identity.
