The Dead C "White House"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Ba Da Bing!, US, 2023, BING-181, 600197018118, 2xLP, Remastered, Reissue

Released on 29 August 1995 through the influential underground label Siltbreeze, The White House is the fifth studio album by the New Zealand experimental lo-fi legends The Dead C. Famously described by the band as their "version of Led Zepp IV with no 'Stairway', as recorded by the Meat Puppets in a K-hole," the record represents the absolute peak of their mid-90s continuous "sonic wars". It balances suffocating, improvised grey-scale noise with some of the most cohesive and surprisingly organic songwriting of their entire career.
