The Flaming Lips "American Head"
LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Warner Records, US, 2020, 093624893011, 2xLP, First Issue, Gatefold Sleeve
Released on September 11, 2020, American Head marks a major artistic pivot for The Flaming Lips. Stripping away the chaotic experimentalism of their late-2010s catalog, the band delivers their most cohesive, poignant, and melodic album since the early 2000s. Co-produced by longtime collaborator Dave Fridmann, it stands as a gorgeous, drug-hazed comedown record that swap space-alien fantasies for raw, earthbound nostalgia.
