The Four Seasons | The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette | Album

Released in January 1969 by Philips Records, The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette stands as the most ambitious, bizarre, and fiercely debated album in The Four Seasons' extensive catalogue. Orchestrated by band member Bob Gaudio and counterculture folk singer Jake Holmes, this psychedelic pop concept album shifted the clean-cut New Jersey vocal group away from Top 40 singles into a world of complex arrangements, biting social satire, and avant-garde studio experimentation.
