The Loved Ones (self-titled EP), released in late 1966 via Festival Records, is widely considered a foundational blueprint of Australian garage rock. Fronted by the iconic, eccentric vocalist Gerry Humphrys, the Melbourne band used this four-track release to encapsulate the raw, rhythm-and-blues-soaked energy that defined the 1960s Australian "Beat Boom".
