Released in 1990 by Fontana/PolyGram (and licensed from Swiss ethnomusicologist Marcel Cellier), Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares Vol. 3 is a mesmerizing continuation of the world-renowned Bulgarian female choral series. While the first two volumes leaned heavily on the singular power of the Bulgarian State Radio & Television Female Vocal Choir, Vol. 3 expands the sonic lens of the series. It features a wider variety of regional ensembles, including the Trakia Choir, the Tolbuhin Choir, and the Rhodopi Smolian’s Choir.
