The Penny Arkade | Not The Freeze (Arch.) | Album

"Not The Freeze" by The Penny Arkade is an archival release that acts as a vital time capsule for late-1960s California rock. Originally recorded between 1967 and 1968 but shelved due to bad luck and industry obscurity, the material was finally dusted off and officially issued by Sundazed Records in 2004. Produced by Michael Nesmith of The Monkees, the album captures a transitional sweet spot where sunshine pop, garage rock, and experimental psychedelia collide.
