The Standells | Dirty Water | Album

Released in June 1966 on Tower Records, Dirty Water by Los Angeles garage rock pioneers The Standells remains one of the definitive touchstones of the 1960s American garage rock boom. Hastily assembled by producer Ed Cobb to capitalize on the runaway success of its iconic title track, the album transcends typical "cash-in" traps by delivering a fierce, raw, and highly energetic slice of proto-punk history.
