Toshiaki Tsushima | The War in Space (Soundtrack) | Album

The soundtrack album for the 1977 film The War in Space (original Japanese Wakusei Daisensou), composed by Toshiaki Tsushima, was originally released on vinyl LP in 1977 and later as an expanded two-CD set in 2020. The album is widely praised as one of the film's best aspects, capturing a distinctly groovy, optimistic, and cheesy '70s sci-fi vibe that complements the fun, if flawed, tokusatsu film, with standout tracks like battle themes and alien riffs that are enjoyable standalone.
