Weird War | If You Can't Beat 'Em, Bite 'Em | Album

Weird War's second full-length album, If You Can't Beat 'Em, Bite 'Em (2004, Drag City), is a highly conceptual, groove-laden slice of post-punk garage funk. Born out of a strange legal dispute where frontman Ian Svenonius and bassist Michelle Mae had to rename their band from the Scene Creamers due to a French graffiti crew, the album represents a stylistic marriage between raw psych-rock and slinky 1970s rhythms.
