White Noise "An Electric Storm"
LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Island Records, UK, 2008, ILPS 9099, Reissue
White Noise's 1969 debut album, An Electric Storm, is a groundbreaking masterpiece of electronic music and psychedelic avant-pop. Created by American electronics student David Vorhaus alongside Delia Derbyshire and Brian Hodgson-visionary sound scientists from the legendary BBC Radiophonic Workshop-the album bridges the gap between accessible 1960s pop songwriting and terrifying, futuristic tape-manipulation techniques.
