Worm’s fourth studio album, Necropalace, released on 13 February 2026, via Century Media Records, marks a dramatic shift from their "swampy" Florida death-doom roots toward a grand, theatrical style of symphonic black metal. The album is a culmination of years of stylistic exploration, evolving into what the band calls "Nekromantic Black Doom". Critics describe the record as a "dark vampire epic" filled with gothic synths, eerie organs, and a cinematic sense of dread. While it retains some crushing funeral doom elements, it leans heavily into '90s symphonic black metal influences like Emperor, Limbonic Art, and Dimmu Borgir.
