Yama Warashi "Boiled Moon"
LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Small Pond Recordings, UK, 2018, SPR139, 5053760043539, First Issue
Boiled Moon by Yama Warashi is a bewitching, shape-shifting album that blends avant-garde jazz, psych-rock, and traditional Japanese folk into an otherworldly sonic landscape. Released on 16 November 2018 via Small Pond Recordings, the record serves as a brilliant showcase for Bristol-based Japanese artist Yoshino Shigihara (formerly of Zun Zun Egui), who steers the project’s bold, cosmic vision.
