The Butcher Shop | Pump Action | Album

Recorded in just two days at Phil Punch’s Electric Avenue studio in late 1989, Pump Action captures the raw, chaotic energy of the late-'80s Sydney squat and swamp-rock scene. Living together in a notorious Sydney squat known as "The Gunnery," this secondary lineup of the band—featuring Perkins, bassist Phillip Clifford, guitarist Lachlan McLeod, and drummer Pete Hartley—crafted a heavy, noisy racket that blurred the lines between punk blues, sludge, and noise rock.
